Have you always wanted to take a cookie decorating class, but felt that it was too expensive?
 
In the spirit of the season and to give back to our wonderful community, Random Acts of Cookies and the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to make this opportunity possible for more folks than ever! As you may have guessed by our business name, we have a strong desire to pay it forward, and this holiday season we want to show that by offering classes at less than cost.

For only $5 (much less than the cost of supplies), you can take a 30-minute crash course in cookie decorating and receive a free entry into the "Mrs. Claus' Christmas Cookie Challenge" during the Christmas Kickoff Event! (See details below.)

Date/Time: Saturday, December 6 @ 10:30am, 1:00pm, or 3:30pm (during the Christmas Kickoff Event)
 
Location: Cottage Grove Armory hosted by Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce, 628 E Washington Ave, Cottage Grove
 
Class Includes:
Choice of one blank cookie to decorate
All icing and decorations
30 minutes of basic instruction by a skilled cookier 
The tools needed to create your masterpieces will be provided for your use but will remain the property of RAC.
One cookie entry into the "Mrs. Claus' Christmas Cookie Challenge"
 
*Price is per person. Due to limited seating, all participants must have a valid ticket purchased to be present, including parents of children and vice versa. At least six registered persons are needed to fill a class. If the class is canceled for low registration, your money will be refunded. You are not responsible for finding the six people, but spreading the word always helps! Groups will be capped at 24 persons at this time.
 
What is "Mrs. Claus' Christmas Cookie Challenge"?
Anyone who wishes may enter a cookie that they have personally decorated either on the Armory site or in the privacy of their own home with your own supplies (please play fair).
Your cookie must be entered between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm on December 6 at the CG Armory Christmas Bazaar in Mrs. Claus' Cookie Room.
Cost is $5 to enter if you have not purchased the cookie decorating class. Entry is free for class participants.
Multiple cookie entries may be placed at an additional $5 per cookie.
Age categories are 0-10, 11-17, and 18+
There will be one Santa's Choice prize for each age category and one People's Choice prize overall.
To ensure that we have enough cookies for everyone, please register ahead of time. There will be a limited number of cookies at the door for last minute sign-ups.
Cookie doors close at 4:30pm and private judging begins. Winners and prizes announced by 5:00 pm or earlier.
Any cookie entries not picked up by 6:00 pm will be donated.
